My Background
As a senior majoring in Marketing Research and Management at Drake University, I am passionately engaged in expanding my knowledge and skills within the field of marketing. My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in research methodologies, information systems, and strategic management, which I am eager to apply and refine in real-world settings.
During my internship at Brighthouse Financial, I analyzed quantitative data for insurance tables, optimizing data storage to save company resources. I utilized statistical tools such as Profit Professional, Beyond Compare, and Excel to clean and preprocess data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in reporting. Additionally, I collaborated with cross-functional teams, strengthening both my technical and communication skills while contributing to more effective project execution. Through this experience, I also gained valuable insight into the operations and structure of the health insurance industry, further expanding my professional knowledge.
During my internship at R&R, I supported marketing strategies across multiple platforms, including social media and the company website, to strengthen brand visibility and client engagement. I developed creative content, reported on market activity, and conducted competitive research to help inform strategic decisions. I also assisted with client outreach initiatives and created and analyzed email marketing campaigns to measure engagement and improve communication efforts. In addition, I gained hands-on experience in commercial real estate marketing by visiting R&R properties to support onsite marketing activities, giving me a practical understanding of how digital and in-person strategies align.
Outside of the classroom, I am dedicated to community service. Engaging in volunteering and community-driven projects has not only broadened my perspective but also deepened my understanding of the diverse needs and challenges faced by those around me. These experiences have instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility and a drive to contribute positively to society. I am particularly inspired to utilize my marketing skills to support local communities and address societal issues, leveraging my expertise to make a meaningful impact.
